I was born on November 18th, 1998 and I am a girl from Greece :-) Thank you for your comments!
Great Parthenon worth reconstruction, indeed!
I hope for all of you, that they can stop fire and winds are also over, what are making all so dangerous there.
You are in our thoughts!

@Acosta Redon: Thanks!
Eleftheria, I do hope you and your family are safe during the fires.
While nature is being destroyed by flames your image documents the preservation and restoration of one of Greeces magnificent treasures. Amazing light against the walls.
It is always "under construction" and has survived so many threats during it's history.
This view is really something to look at and appreciate. You have captured this jewel of Athens beautifully.
What many don't realize until they have visited is how smooth the marble walkways are, like ice, from centuries of people walking.

@Barbara: Thanks a lot....Very bad situation here.....We are not very far but not too close too....There is a smell of burn wood everywhere.....
Well seen and captured Elef! The beautiful soft lighting is very effective. Well done! ;-)

Great capture Eleftheria! I am excited to see this photo as I have never seen the Parthenon except in text books! And seeing in under construction is so different to see. I guess I never thought of it ever needing to be repaired ;)

We've been away, so am not aware of the fires ... I hope your family is all safe.
This is an exquisite photo of the reconstruction of this remarkable and historical building. xx

@Judy: Thanks a lot....Very bad situation here.....We are not very far but not too close too....There is a smell of burn wood everywhere.....
How strange to see it this way . . it adds a certain extra reality to the building, somehow.
I do hope they soon bring the fires under control over there . . sounds so bad from the news coming in. Stay safe, E.
