Ah, carpusi! When I was in Greece, many years ago, I learned this phrase from a little boy, "Yasu Carpusi" --- I've always remembered it, "hello watermelon"? Wonderful. I ate watermelon almost everyday when I was staying on the island of Crete.

watermelon does say "summer." A fine action shot of a youngster enjoying one of my favorite foods.
As a teenager I lived on a farm growing hundreds of watermelon which we sold along the road.
