Easter red eggsPosted by Eleftheria (Athens, Greece) on 19 April 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture. On Holy Thursday we usually paint our eggs red in Greece! We start eating them on Easter. This tradition symbolizes the Christ's blood. I was born on November 18th, 1998 and I am a girl from Greece :-) Thank you for your comments! -- SORRY, I HAVE NOT MUCH TIME TO VISIT EACH ONE OF YOU EVERYDAY...A LOT OF HOMEWORK... -- :o) My dad's photography site:

Far more connected with the faith-based meaning of Easter than dying eggs in spring pastels. Or easter bunnies, no matter how cute. Happy Easter dear sister in Christ. 20 Apr 2009 1:00am @Viewfinder: Thank you so much! Tomorrow a different Easter photo! @Photosanity: Thank you! @-1q5yChØt!c-: :o) grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomHow nice to be reminded of those red eggs from past easter visits to Greece. By this I mean the size that you have given the eggs (your subject). Well done Eleftheria! The repeated (rhythm) in the color and shapes of the eggs draw further attention! Excellent! 20 Apr 2009 12:59pm @Craig: Thank you! Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesBeautiful. I've never seen such deep red in Easter Eggs before.
