Have you tried to experiment with the programs on your camera? I find that on days with a lot of harsh light like this one the "beach" program brings better colors, and sometimes the "snow" setting is even better. 4 Jul 2008 12:06pm Anita from West Nottingham, United StatesNice photo! Tamara from Fort Myers, FL, United StatesOh so beautiful! I love the boat in there too! A lovely vacation spot!! :D 6 Jul 2008 1:35pm @Tamara: Thank you! Don Smith from California, United StatesBeautiful image Eleftheria. Great use of the the rule-of-thirds in the placement of the boat as a foreground element and allowing a place for the eye to rest - a visual anchor - which is important in images. The various tones of blue allow the eye to be drawn up and through the image. You've minimized the sky which is also advisable when they are blank-blue (always a challenge in the summer months). However in this image, the blue sky serves as a subtle offset of the blues in each of the two lakes. Well done! 6 Jul 2008 2:18pm @Don Smith: Thank you VERY VERY MUCH! xx willow from Chelsea, United StatesBeautiful blues.
